The Four Beings: A Theory

Genesis 6:4 describes four distinct beings, not one. In this reading, the usurper's scribes conflated them into a single narrative in order to justify destroying the teachers and seizing their knowledge. What follows is the theory of separation, laid out with the textual evidence behind each phase.

The scribes took four separate beings from four phases and wrote one narrative: Phase 1 (Nephilim, pre-existent) + Phase 2 (Watchers, descended) + Phase 3 (mighty men, heroes) + Phase 4 (giants, manufactured) = one story.

"The Watchers had children who were Nephilim who were giants who were violent."

That conflation justified four things at once:

• Destroying the giants — Phase 4.
• Binding the Watchers — Phase 2.
• Erasing the mighty men from history — Phase 3.
• Leaving the Nephilim mysterious — Phase 1.

The teachers became monsters. Knowledge became sin. The calendar was suppressed.

The flood destroyed Phase 4 (the giants). The usurper used this to bind Phase 2 (the Watchers) and erase Phase 3 (the mighty men). Phase 1 (the Nephilim) remained mysterious.

We restore the separation. The teachers are teachers. The heroes are heroes. The manufactured violence is exposed. The pre-existent remains mysterious, but acknowledged.
